Framed by spectacular mountain vistas, the four-storey onsen villas at Aki Niseko were designed to provide a contemporary contrast, not only to the surroundings, but to every other development in the area.

At a glance, undulating Japanese louvers are inspired by the powder snow drifts, and complemented with elegant black stone. This fusion of contemporary Japanese design aesthetics continues within, enhanced with thoughtful accents that evoke the warmth of western alpine retreats

No expense was spared in creating the ultimate slope-side sanctuary at Aki Niseko. Within each 400-plus-square-metre, five-ensuite-bedroom villa, finely-curated furniture, art-infused fixtures and designer-appliances imbue the spaces with elegance. To create a perfect retreat for the owners, the master bedroom includes a sitting area and a fireplace.

The living spaces were envisioned to integrate the indoors with the stunning landscape outside. Lush greenery and nature-inspired materials are seamlessly integrated with the interior design.

In this space designed by Japan’s top Interior Architecture firm, Nomura, for multi-generational living, careful consideration was also given to temper the luxury with an aura of serenity. At the heart of the main living room is a wood burning fireplace that provides warmth, light and a gathering space for the family. In the corner, a custom hanging daybed creates the perfect cocoon from the world.

Each villa affords you with 3 floors of leisure space, with a bar and open-planned kitchen on the third floor. An ample slab of pure, unadorned wood serves as a casual communal space in the kitchen, while a commercial grade high-performance cooktop will tempt you to flex your culinary skills, or leave it to your personal chef.

The adjoining bar area features a custom-made shuffleboard to bring endless hours of entertainment, laughter, competition and fun.
In a nod to discerning tastes, there is even a wine cellar for your prized collection of fine wines.

Aki Niseko was built as much for spring, summer and autumn as it was for winter. Continuing our vision to integrate the indoors with the outdoors, the rooftop is indeed the most unique feature for the villas.

Traditional indoor spaces like a private onsen, sauna and showers seamlessly merge with the outside features of a firepit, garden, bar, and entertaining area. Heated in the winter, the rooftop not only extends the footprint of usable space, but it also creates a truly extraordinary experience.
